FIFA has suspended Zinedine Zidane for 3 matches for his headbutt on Marco Materazzi during The World Cup Final. This seems to be "harsh" punishment for Zizou seeing as he is now retired. FIFA had several other avenues of punishment they could have taken (fines, etc..) but decided to take the easy way out. When I contacted a FIFA rep about the non-punishment I was told, "he is from France that is more than enough punishment for any human being".
