Welcome to a new feature I decided to add to this blog. Now that my readership has expanded to more than my friends (I get emails now from all over Canada and The U.S. and even an occasional one from overseas) I decided to add new features. The 1st is "This Date in History" which I will update a couple of times a week - it could be sports, politics, entertainment or anything else of general interest. Anywho... on May 26th 1988 the Edmonton Oilers captured the Stanley Cup by defeating The Boston Bruins in a 4 game sweep. Also, on this day in 1970, the last episode of "I Dream of Jeannie" aired.
