Canada's Olympic Gold Medal Curling Team: Spare- Mike Adam, 3rd - Mark Nichols (96% in Olympic semi's and 97% in the Final - unheard of numbers for a third in this caliber competition), 2nd - Russ Howard (the living legend), Skip - Brad Gushue and Coach - Toby MacDonald. Missing is lead Jamie Korab who could not make it because of family commitments. Posted by Picasa

Pictures of the crowd that showed up at the airport to welcome Mark and Mike home with the rest of their Olympic Gold Medal Curling Team. Posted by Picasa

Pics. of The Canadian Olympic Gold Medal Curling Team and the crowd that came to see them at The Mike Adam Recreation Complex on Tues. Nite. Posted by Picasa

Picture taken at The Rec. center on Mon. nite during a meet and greet for the Olympic Curling Gold Medalists. Left - Right: Mark Nichols girlfriend (1st time in Labrador), Mark's stepmom - Joyce, ?????, Mark's dad - Gerry. Gerry used to be the skip of my curling team - there was not a shot he could not make. I asked Mark's girlfriend about the attention Mark was getting here in his home town and she said this must be how Cam Neely's wife feels in Boston. Posted by Picasa

Pictures of Mark and his Gold Medal Team signing autographs at the mall on Tues. afternoon. Had a quick conversation with Mark and will be talking to him and the rest of the team tonite at The Ash. Jamie Korab (the lead) was unable to make into town because of family commitments. Posted by Picasa

Stephen Ames wins The Players Championship on Sunday. The Canadian easily outclassed the field as he cruised to a 6 shot victory over second place. He earned a 1.44 million dollar (American) payday for his effort (this is equal to about 15 million Canadian). Posted by Picasa

Tim "the trapper" Thomas makes an insane save on Sat. nite as Bruins beat Buffalo 5-4. Bruins are undefeated since firing Mike O'Connell as GM. Maybe they would have been able to make the playoffs if they got rid of him earlier - say like 2001. Posted by Picasa

Mike O'Connell has been fired as general manager of the Boston Bruins. The Bruins first good move this year. Although this season is toast, this gives us a little bit of hope going into next season. Posted by Picasa

The Cowboys sign Mike Vanderjagt, the greatest kicker in the history of football. Plus he is Canadian and he has his best years ahead of him. With all the Cowboys signings lately I can not wait until the season to celebrate a Superbowl and another Dallas dynasty!!!! Posted by Picasa

A reminder to all golfers that the early-bird registration is now until the end of April. To be eligible for the prize draws you must join during this time. Above is a pic. from last summer of me and Tricco at the Lo-Lo's tourney. Tricco is the one driving and I am the funny one with my fingers behind his head. Posted by Picasa

Olympic superstar and curling GOLD medalist, Mark Nichols, will be in town next Monday and Tuesday with the rest of his gold medal team-mates. I will be interviewing Mark for this site. Check back next week for Mark's comments and lots of pics. This will be my 1st interview and post with an Olympic champion. Posted by Picasa

Just to show how much snow we have already this year. This is a bank in front of a 2 story house. We still have 1/2 of March and all of April yet to get even more snow. Posted by Picasa

Did Boss Hogg finally catch Luke Duke????
Police in Ringwood, New Jersey, have charged actor Tom Wopat with driving under the influence and reckless driving. Police say Wopat's sport utility vehicle barreled into traffic cones that had been set up at an accident scene on Wednesday night. Wopat played Luke Duke in "The Dukes of Hazard" TV show in the 1970s and 1980s. Posted by Picasa

Congrats. to Jean-Michel Menard and his Quebec rink on winning the Brier. However, this is a tainted win as Mark Nichols (the best curler on the planet right now) and his Newfoundland team skipped by Brad Gushue were unable to attend. Some genius scheduled the provincal playdowns at the same time as Mark and the boys were winning gold at the olympics. Congrats. again to Quebec for winning the brier but it must seam like an empty victory as they actually never beat the best team in Canada. Posted by Picasa

Dallas put the final piece into place for The Superbowl next season as they added superstar reciever T.O. to the team. Other offseason signings include stars such as: Ayodele Akin, Kyle Kosier, Ryan Hannam, Jason Fabini. Rumors are also in place that they are the front runners for Adam Vinatieri. With the talent they already had and these additions it should be the makings of yet another Dallas Dynasty!!! Dallas management has finally got off their asses and did something - I guess I can take my resume now and submit to the Bruins who desperately need my help more than The Cowboys. Posted by Picasa

Brad Boyes recorded his 1st NHL hat-trick yesterday as The Bruins defeated Carolina 4-2. The Bruins beat Ottawa a couple of nites before and move to within 6 points of 8th place for the playoffs. Thomas had another excellent game in nets and with the Bruins gaining ground on the playoffs I'm sure coach Sullivan will opt to play Raycroft in the next few games so that the Bruins go nowhere but the golf course.
P.S. Brad Boyes is 3rd in rookie scoring behind the other 2 overhyped players but no one seems to want to mention him. Posted by Picasa

The Boston Bruins signed goaltender Tim "the trapper" Thomas to a three-year contract extension on Saturday.
The 31-year-old leads the league with a .927 save percentage and is seventh with a 2.34 goals-against average. His record is 13-8-5. Posted by Picasa

Terrell Owens signed with the Cowboys on Saturday. This is the beginning of another Cowboys dynasty in the NFL. Owens rates up there with past NFL greats Deion Sanders and Micheal Irvin - how do The Boys always get the greatest players?  Posted by Picasa

Happy St. Patricks Day!!! Posted by Picasa

Tim "the trapper" Thomas makes a save on Danny Heatley as The Bruins win their 1st shootout of the season ( in March) - they may not make the playoffs but at least they never went 0 for in shootouts this season. This may be the last game they win this year as they only have 15 left to play. Posted by Picasa

Keyshawn Johnson was cut by The Boys earlier this week. I guess they were getting to close to making the playoffs to keep a legitimate talent in the line up. Rumor is they are making room for T.O. but I know that will never happen because T.O. is a good player and I cheer for Dallas so the chances of this are nil. I say they are more likely to resign Quincy Carter than T.O. Why do the teams I cheer for have such shitty management?? I am going to submit a resume for GMs of both the Cowboys and the Bruins - then maybe I can set these teams in the right direction! Posted by Picasa
